The conference is an important local meeting of the variable star community traditionally organized by the Variable Star and Exoplanet Section of the Czech Astronomical Society. This year is co-organized by the Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, Brno.

This year we will commemorate 50th anniversary of our annual meetings of professional and amateur astronomers, and astronomy students! That is why the conference returns to Brno, which has a long and rich history of supporting variable star research in Czechia.
